I don’t know about you, but there are times in life when I will focus on all the issues I am facing that feel like big problems to me. But I was remembering about a time when we took a trip to Jamaica, and our tour guide on one of our excursions said, “Here in Jamaica, we say ‘No, problem ‘Mon’ because we believe that in Jamaica, we do not have problems, only situations”. I began to think about that, and look for ways to apply that thought to my own personal problems/issues.
The enemy is always trying to get me to believe I have a lot of problems. And I believe God is trying to tell me, “No. You have situations. “We” have situations. And I am working in every one of your situations. There are solutions for these situations. And I have the answers, because I AM the answer!”
Holding on to this truth in the face of our greatest difficulties is how we go through, get through, and grow through every situation we encounter. God reminds us that He holds every solution for every situation.
It may take time to solve an issue or a problem, but eventually it will be dealt with. Many times I am guilty of putting too much of my focus on unmet hopes, dreams, and worries that seem to drive me daily. I have given my circumstances more power than they deserve. I’ve allowed myself to see them as big problems when they are really situations that God is working on. And when you choose to see it this way, the demands of life don’t weigh on us as heavily both spiritually and emotionally.
So as a follower of Christ, and as a girl who has a Heavenly Father who is working all things out for my good (Romans 8:28); I can say, like the Jamaicans “It’s no problem ‘Mon! And for me, that’s enough. I can trust that God is working in every situation in my life. And I can walk forward in hope … with a thankful heart.
Love & Blessings!

1 Peter 4:12-13 “Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. Instead, be very glad – for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world.” (NLT)
James 1:2-4 “Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing/lacking nothing.” (NLT)
1 Thessalonians 5:18 “Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” (NLT)
